hate to disappoint but technically this post has nothing to do with iron maiden. "A newly discovered fragment of the oldest surviving copy of the New Testament indicates that, as far as the Antichrist goes, theologians, scholars, heavy metal groups, and television evangelists have got the wrong number. Instead of 666, it’s actually the far less ominous 616." this story dropped a few days ago and i wanted to post about it but didn’t really have anything to add. luckily john over at laputan logic had plenty to add. all of it interesting (as tends to be the case at laputan logic.) check it out. 

How oddly apropos: a while back I noodled a weird unfinished Dixieland tune in cakewalk, and there the matter rested. Today I recalled that theme, and this lyric happened:

One thing you might find intresting ... VERY intresting....

muslims have lots of ( the beast ) prophecies ... and this one… is almost matching…

our prophet told us: the antichrist will have a mark on his forehead… it is written in arabic and everyone will be able to read it.. even people who can’t read..

the mark is the arabic word KAFER ( it meant denier-of-GOD )...

NOW, here is the interesting part…
the way we write KAFER in arabic is like this:

كافر

now, in a more generic hand writing… it looks exactly like this ( 916 ) with a dot on the nine ..

now, all you need is to write 616 in a rotated fashion, so the six on the left is rotated counter-clockwise ... a little bit ... 

i was for a long time trying to get this one solved ... between the Bible and the Quran ... as 666 did not really match ... 616 is clear…

and here we go ....
